My main research interest has been social and educational psychology of second language learning. A first aspect of my study focuses on the influence of motivation  and affective variables including international posture, willingness to communicate, L2 Ideal selves/ L2 ought-to selves, L2 anxiety, and L2 confidence for L2 language learning/communication in children and University EFL learners. A second and more pedagogical area of my inquiry concerns how to develop language learners’ motivation and willingness to communicate through the pedagogical interventions. A third aspect of my research interest is a research methodology. I have been using quantitative analysis (multivariate analysis and SEM: structural equation modeling), but last couple of years, I've been exploring qualitative research methods including micro ethonography, discorse analysis, content analysis, grounded theory and TEM (Trajectory equifinality model). I am trying to apply a mix method using qualitative and quantitative reaserch methods in my present studies.
